Madonna denies plan to marry Jesus
Despite whispers of wedding bells, Madonna and her boy toy Jesus Luz
have no plans to marry, a rep for the singer tells In Touch. “This is
completely and totally not true,” her spokesperson says. Reports
emerged on May 14 that the 22-year-old Brazilian hunk’s father, Luis
Heitor Pinto da Luz, announced that his model son and the Material
Girl, 50, would tie the knot in a Kabbalah service in New York. “The
ceremony [that] will link up my son Jesus Luz and Madonna only confirms
that he is extremely happy,” he allegedly told Brazilian magazine Quem.
The star’s rep further denies that the proud papa spoke at all about
the alleged nuptials to the mag. “Jesus’ father didn’t make any
statement on this subject,” she adds. Madonna, who split from husband
Guy Ritchie last fall, started dating her much-younger boyfriend in
December.

Two Classics are back!
Sticky & Sweet TourThe extension of the Madonna tour is about to
start in less than two months and here at MadonnaTribe we’ve heard a
few things buzzing around.
Rehearsals are planned to take place in New York and starting at the
beginning of June. They will approximatively go on for a month before
flying to London for the premiere on July 4th.
As for the changes in the Sticky & Sweet set list a couple of
beloved old classics will be replacing two songs of the 2008 lineup.
The songs considered at the moment are the 1983 First Album classic hit
Holiday, making its comeback in a Madonna tour and Dress You Up, the
old fan favourite from Like A Virgin!
The inclusion of such classic songs will surely convince the people
who were unsure about this tour extension that Madonna is once again
trying something new, by strengthening her already successful show of
2008, reinventing it by adding more fan favourite oldies but goodies!

singer, who was visiting friends on Eastern Long Island over the

Madonna Makes Adoption Plea to Malawi Newspaper
Madonna opens up about her failed attempt to adopt 3-year-old Mercy James in a new interview.
“I want to provide Mercy with a home, a loving family environment
and the best education and healthcare possible,” she e-mailed Malawi’s
Nation newspaper in response to its questions. “And it’s my hope that
she, like David, will one day return to Malawi and help the people of
their country.”
Madonna, 50, continued: “Though I have been advised that I cannot
publicly discuss the pending appeal regarding my desire to adopt Mercy,
I do want to say how much I appreciate the level of support that I have
received from the people of Malawi and my friends around the world.”
Judge Esimie Chombo turned down the singer’s adoption application
because she didn’t meet the country’s 18 to 24 month residency
requirement.
Her lawyer Alan Chinula confirmed to Us earlier this month she filed an appeal.
Madonna adopted David Banda, 3, from Malawi in 2006 amongst outrage
by human rights organizations who charged she was using her celebrity
to bend local laws.

Gwyneth Paltrow: ‘She’s a task master!’
Gwyneth Paltrow was interviewed in UK magazine Look (30 March issue) and of course is asked questions about her friend Madonna:
Your best friend Madonna and you both use the same trainer - and Madonna’s got some muscles! Does that spur you on?
Oh God, yeah. She’s so dedicated, and she looks great on it. She’s so
damn good at it, you sort of want to be like her. And she’s a task
master - there’s no slacking, no finishing early. In fact, she always
makes me do that extra half hour!
You guys are so different, and yet you’re such good friends….
I know what you mean. She has the drive and strength I’ll never have.
But there is a side to her that’s very soft and lovely and that’s the
side we connect more. In private we’re more similar than you’d think,
but yes, definitely out in the world we’re very different from one
another.
Come on then, shed some light on the secret world of Madge and Gwyneth….
For starters, I’m such a typical Libra, it’s not funny. I can’t make a
decision about anything - like where to eat, then what to eat, what
film to watch. But the worse is what to wear! It drives a certain
someone mad!

Mel B praises Madonna
The former Spice Girls star admires the ‘4 Minutes’ singer’s failed
attempt to open her home to four-year-old Malawian girl Mercy James.
She said: “It’s easy for critics to knock celebrities who choose to
adopt, but it’s a good thing that Madonna’s doing. Not only is she
highlighting the plight of orphans in Africa, she’s also giving this
little girl the chance of a better life.”

Madonna teams up with Stella for a second night in a row after giving $500,000 to Italian quake victims
Madonna was out with friend Stella McCartney for a second night in a
row last night after returning from Malawi without the little girl she
had hoped to adopt. Dressed in an uncharacteristically mumsy
outfit of black pencil skirt and white satin shirt with a bow the
singer was putting on a brave face after her disappointment. The
50-year-old raised half a smile as she left by the back door of the
Assaggi restaurant at the Chepstow Pub in Notting Hill, followed soon
after by close pal Stella. Since finding out she could not adopt little Mercy on Friday, Madonna has been surrounding herself with support from friends. Notably
absent amongst her close circle is one of the best friends Gwyneth
Paltrow, who has temporarily relocated to the U.S. while she films Iron
Man 2. After returning to Britain on Friday, Madonna left her
children with their father Guy Ritchie so she can adjust to the
Malawi's judge's shock decision.
Her meal out came as she revealed she had donated money to the victims of the Italian earthquake. Madonna has donated a reported $500,000 to her father Silvio Ciccone's home region of Abruzzo. Over 200 people have been injured and thousands left homeless after a 6.3 magnitude quake on Monday. The
singer declined to confirm how much she had given, but said: 'I am
happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from Madonna sought comfort from friend Stella McCartney earlier this week after jetting back to the UK from the African country. The singer was said to be 'devastated and shaking' at having to
leave four-year-old Mercy in Malawi after a judge rejected her adoption
bid. The 50-year-old, who touched down in Luton airport on Sunday
afternoon, went to London restaurant Cecconi's with the fashion
designer. For more info and photos, visit the Daily Mail website.

Madonna Donates Money to Italian Earthquake Victims
When a devastating earthquake struck the Abruzzo region of Italy on Monday, the mayor of the hamlet of Pacentro
made an appeal for help to the granddaughter of two former townspeople.
The following morning, that granddaughter responded in a big way.
Madonna, whose paternal grandparents lived in Pacentro until 1919, made a "substantial donation" for the relief effort following the 6.3 magnitude quake that left more than 200 dead, says her publicist Liz Rosenberg. The rep wouldn't give the amount, but a source says it's about $500,000.
"I am happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from,>" Madonna tells PEOPLE. "My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones or their homes."
